The 2011 one hundred event on June 1, 2011 at the Westin Boston Waterfront

Matt Damon, Academy Award-winning actor, screenwriter and philanthropist joined Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center at the annual one hundred Dinner on June 1. As the keynote speaker, Matt revealed news that his father, Kent Damon, has multiple myeloma and has been treated for the last 18 months at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. The evening, honoring 100 people and groups who have helped advance the fight against cancer was a resounding success. Over 850 were in attendance including co-chairs Teresa Heinz and Senator John Kerry, Patti and Jonathan Kraft and Laura and Stephen Lang as well as celebrity guests Marianne Leone Cooper, Chris Cooper and Tom Hamilton. The evening raised nearly $1.3M for the Cancer Center.
