John Gallagher and his wife Katherine (Kathy) Gallagher recently awarded an unrestricted gift of $1 million to the Mass General Cancer Center, entrusting its use to John’s physician, David Ryan, MD, the clinical director of the Cancer Center and the Tucker Gosnell Center for Gastrointestinal Cancers.

The couple made this magnificent gift in gratitude for the care John receives at the Mass General Cancer Center. John and Kathy feel confident that Dr. Ryan will direct the funds to where they are needed most to discover new treatments and improve care for cancer patients now and in the future.

For more than 30 years, John and Kathy have made Mass General their home for primary and specialized health care. Throughout their long relationship with Mass General, they have generously contributed to the hospital to support its research and clinical care.
