The story of LympheDIVAs began when two young breast cancer survivors, Rachel Troxell and Robin Miller, developed lymphedema, a side effect of breast cancer treatment that can cause permanent swelling in the arms. Their lymphedema therapists recommended a compression sleeve as the most effective way of controlling the swelling; however, they found the only available sleeves were uncomfortable and unattractive. Robin and Rachel worked with fashion designer Kristin Dudley to create a more elegant and comfortable compression sleeve.
Unfortunately, Rachel’s breast cancer returned, and in 2008 at age 37, she passed away. At Rachel’s request, her father Howard Levin, MD, and her mother Judy took over the company that their daughter helped found. In August 2010, Rachel’s younger brother Josh (pictured here with a compression sleeve) left a lucrative career to join the company and is now running it with his parents. Because of the beauty and comfort of the sleeves, women can go out in public and feel comfortable and attractive with the gorgeous sleeves on their arms.
The Levin family works tirelessly at their business with the hope that LympheDIVAs’ compression apparel will continue to inspire breast cancer survivors everywhere to feel as beautiful, strong and confident as Rachel was.
